Ransomware attacks, where bad actors encrypt a company’s computer files until payment of a cryptocurrency ransom is made, can destroy the ability of a company to provide goods to its customers, pay its employees, and even to engage in basic internal and external communications.
TJ Toohey Law has worked with numerous clients to implement plans to protect data, train and educate employees and vendors to guard against unauthorized access to and exfiltration of company files, and to remediate company computer systems. We engage with other professionals, including information technology, data protection and forensic consultants, to protect data against unauthorized access. We also assist with training personnel and reviewing contracts with vendors for data protection.
