Tim has been widely recognized for leadership in the fields of privacy, data security and intellectual property. He has been named as one of the most influential IP attorneys in Los Angeles by the Los Angeles Business Journal.
In addition to his work on technology law, Tim has been active in pro bono matters, including representing individuals in cases through the Los Angeles County AIDS Legal Services Project, where he was a recipient of a 2022 award. He has also been involved in Secure the Villageāa Los Angeles-based organization promoting cybersecurity. He was a member of the Educational Advisory Board of the International Association of Privacy Professions (IAPP), a member of the USC IP institute Trademark and Copyright Subcommittees, and has been a frequent guest lecturer in courses on privacy, security and intellectual property.
